Gays & eHarmony: Compatible? Not Compatible?

eHarmony caved in and settled a 2005 discrimination complaint filed by Eric McKinley, and are set to launch a new same-sex dating service in the beginning of next year.  Are you kidding me?

I am so sick and tired of companies being strong-armed by a vocal (or is it oral?) minority.  I’m not sure if the case has any legal merit (being an accountant, I don’t see any), but I’m sure sponsors were threatened.  Just once, I would like to see a company tell a group of would-be boycotters to pound sand (strong words, I know).

My initial reaction when I first heard this story was that if the complainant wasn’t so busy seeking attention for himself (and he probably has some gay blog somewhere that he is trying to drive traffic to), and making sure everyone was looking at him, he may have been able to start his own online same sex dating service.  I can only hope eHarmony’s new site makes billions.  But then he’ll probably sue them for stealing his idea.

    • Yeah, I remember when this made big news on CNN. Heh, one might think my partenr and I go to Penora’s (on the corner of Penora and Broadway in Depew) to watch the news and gaggle at their plasma TV set rather than eat the food there (which is really awesome, btw )

  2. This is a really good read for me, Must admit that you are one of the best bloggers I ever saw. Thanks for posting this informative article.
